About

My name is Peter Gales and I believe that business and career can be a full and free expression of who you are and the difference you choose to make. I intend to play a role in changing the existing conversations (discourses) about “work”, and about what it means to live your life fully and completely.

As I said in my first post, I believe that there is something fundamentally unworkable about the American and possibly world approach to individual happiness and fulfillment in life. The popular culture teaches people to look for the quick fix and the magic bullet that will solve all of their problems; as if there is something wrong with problems, and life shouldn’t have any “downs”.

I write to stimulate and encourage people to take on a different perspective to happiness and fulfillment in life, and it comes from engaging with your life as a practice i.e. the exercise and pursuit of a consciously created life.  I write about basic and fundamental principles that can help people engage with their life as a practice. In the same way that you don’t go to the gym once and expect to be fit for the rest of your life, you can’t expect to go to one course or read one book, get married, change jobs etc. and expect that all will be well forever after.

No one likes to talk about the work that has to be done in your daily life, or the impact on the choices that you make everyday to the quality of the life you will lead one year, five years, ten years from now.

I do. And I intend to cause a shift in people’s relationships to words like “work,” “failure,” and “responsibility.”   I welcome your comments and very much appreciate your taking the time.

may the force be with you, Sir Peter!

Love it..love it. Thank you for sharing your infinite wisdom, though it’s not the “truth”. I share your training, your passion and your leap of faith into the world of blogging!!! Carry on, soldier. Godspeed! Live the life you love and Love the life you live. I think I heard that in Landmark, too. You are definitely bookmarked!

Peter,

Brilliant–you are in fact my access to The Divine. Thank you
I appreciate and value the contribution you make to my life.

A valuable conversation today — thank you for helping me understand the edge of the cognitive razor a bit better (invention of your world between objectivism and the idealism/interpretation) and how it applied to the election. -Roy
