Have you ever thought about what path you’re on?  About your future and what it will be like?  Of course you have or you wouldn’t be reading a blog like mine.

But how often or deeply do you think about what your future will be like?  It’s a very curious thing about people?  We avoid unpleasant things.  OK that’s not so curious.  What is curious is that we avoid thinking about what we need to think about, so that we do what we need to do, to avoid unpleasant things.  Follow?  Don’t stop reading now and prove me right. (smile)

You know, I would soooo like to invent a simple formula that would make my life easy.  Ok not easy,  some easy … more powerful, exciting and fun.  James Bond meets Gandhi.  Hey!  It’s my life to design.  ;-)

Every now and then I come across, or read about someone who just seems to have it all going on.  The Richard Bransons, the Larry Ellisons, the Bill Gates’ and the Barack Obamas et al.    Not that I’m holding any of these as the poster child for how to live a great life (except maybe Branson) it’s just that they all are very passionate, successful and very clear about what their lives are about.  And that’s my goal.  Indeed, isn’t it everyone’s?

Security – Good luck with that

The other day I heard someone equate security with stagnation.   Hmmmmm.  Hats off to an inquiring mind, and if not an original idea, at least an uncommon one.

Security – a form of stagnation.  Could there be something there?   Most people seem to be on a quest for security if I read all of the newspaper reports of the concerns people express about the current economic environment.  Everyone’s afraid of losing his or her job.  I saw one article in a popular business magazine about how to keep your job.  The headline said something close to, “Now is not the time to ask for a raise”, and then went on to list a number of things you should or should not do in order to keep your… Continue reading
